About Kristi Howard-Shultz Consulting
A Fundraiser Who Gets It
You’ve got a big-hearted mission and I’m here to help you achieve it. I’m a passionate and proven leader who delights in fostering organizational growth and long-term success for nonprofits. I meet you where you are and translate your vision into action as we implement the right strategies and tactics.
Through 20 years of fundraising and nonprofit leadership, I’ve watched organization after organization hire consultants only to be left with unsustainable plans and a binder soon gathering dust. What a waste! I’m committed to partnering with you to operationalize practices and deploy innovative strategies that work for your organization. I leave my clients with not only concrete, actionable plans and momentum, but an ally for the future.
Born and raised in Indiana, my nonprofit management career began nearly 20 years ago in New York City. After earning my master’s in social work at NYU, I stayed there to work in community development. I went on to work in program and development director roles for organizations including nationally-known, time-tested institutions like Boy Scouts of America, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and Boys & Girls Clubs.
Always one to pursue growth and hone skills, I’m a proud grad of the United Way of Central Indiana Youth Leadership Initiative, UWCI Women Leaders Series, and the Central Indiana Community Foundation’s Women’s Fund OPTIONS Program. I’ve also completed training with the Gallup Institute, Franklin Covey, Sandler Sales System, and Six Sigma.
